Liverpool have been encouraged to make a bid for Niko Kranjcar, while the Reds are also pondering move for Swedish left-back Oscar Wendt.
Croatia international Niko Kranjcar is getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of playing time at White Hart Lane, with his father Zlatko, Montenegro national team boss, revealing Niko was ready to leave.
“Niko is definitely leaving Tottenham. That’s his choice and I completely agree with him,” Zlatko Kranjcar said.
The Reds are also on the verge of signing Sweden international Oscar Wendt, whose contract runs out in the summer.
Liverpool’s scout Jakob Friis-Hansen admits the club have been impressed by the left-back.
“We are keeping a close eye on Wendt. He does a good job. He needs to perform under pressure each week, whereas there are few tough games in Denmark. He would possibly benefit from first moving to a league such as Germany’s – but maybe that will not be necessary.”
