Liverpool are lining up a £14m move for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, according to the Mirror.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is working hard on strengthening his squad ahead of his first full season in charge at Anfield – a campaign without European football though that hasn’t changed his ambitions in the market.
Drinkwater was one of a number of stand out performers for the title winning Foxes, featuring in all but three of the 2015/16 Premier League games, scoring two goals, one of which the late equaliser against Chelsea in the final match of the season.
He moved to the King Power Stadium from Manchester United in January 2012 and has since racked up one hundred and seventy-five appearances for the East Midlands club in all competitions, scoring thirteen goals.
He is part of Roy Hodgson’s provisional England squad for Euro 2016 having made his senior international debut in the 2-1 friendly defeat to the Netherlands back in March.
