Liverpool eye move for Murillo

Liverpool are interested in signing Murillo from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest, according to CaughtOffside. The report has claimed that Liverpool could bid for Murillo regardless of whether Virgil van Dijk stays or not, although the Forest star is being viewed as a long-term replacement for the Netherlands international centre-back.

Murillo has been on the books of Forest since the summer of 2023 when he joined from Brazilian club Corinthians. The 22-year-old central defender has scored one goal in 11 Premier League matches for Nuno’s side so far this season. The Brazilian gave two assists in 32 Premier League games for Forest during the 2023-24 campaign.

Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 28 points from 11 matches, five points ahead of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City. As for Forest, they currently find themselves fifth in the league table with 19 points from 11 games, level on points with fourth-placed Arsenal.
