Liverpool are interested in signing Khephren Thuram from Nice in the summer transfer window, according to Foot Mercato. The report in the French news outlet has claimed that Liverpool are “seduced” by the 22-year-old France international midfielder, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will have to pay £53 million in transfer fees for the youngster.
Thuram is one of the best young midfielders in Ligue 1 and has played once for the France national football team already in his career. The 22-year-old is a rising star in French football and has massive potential. Thuram has made 26 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Nice so far this season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in the process.
Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 44 points from 29 matches, as many as 12 points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United, who have played 30 games. Meanwhile, Nice currently find themselves ninth in the Ligue 1 standings with 45 points from 31 matches.
