Liverpool eyeing Caulker move

Liverpool are considering a summer move for Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker, according to the Mail Online.

The England international only moved to the South Wales club last summer, and whilst he has been a stand out performer he was unable to prevent them from securing an immediate return to the Championship after just one year in the top flight.

He, along with teammate Gary Medel, has a relegation release clause in his contract and both are highly likely to move on in the coming weeks.

Southampton have also been linked with a move for the former Tottenham Hotspur man, who will be hoping to gain an international recall by England manager Roy Hodgson when he selects his squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil on May 12th.

Cardiff end the season with a visit of title-chasing Chelsea on Sunday afternoon and they can be backed at 15/2 to take all three points.
