Chilean newspaper La Tercera is reporting that Liverpool are weighing up a move for Inter Milan star Gary Medel.
The Reds are in the market for midfield reinforcements after Steven Gerrard moved to the MLS, and the Chile star has emerged as their latest target.
Even if Medel performed pretty well during his first season with the Nerazzurri, it is believed Inter would consider selling the 27-year-old having recruited Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.
The holding midfielder was one of the star performers for La Roja as they lifted the first ever Copa America trophy earlier this month, despite operating in the heart of defence.
Medel played a key role in containing Barcelona superstar Leo Messi in the final against Argentina, thus further cementing his hero status in Chile.
The former Boca Juniors star already has some Premier League experience, having started 34 league matches for QPR during the 2013/2014 season.
