Liverpool eyeing Immobile move

Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile, according to the Daily Star.

The Liverpool manager is keen to bring in another striker at the end of the season, as the majority of his current selection has failed to deliver so far this season.

Mario Balotelli’s penalty winner against Besiktas yesterday evening was just his fourth goal since arriving at Anfield in the summer, and all four have come in different competitions.

Rickie Lambert has only scored three times, while Daniel Sturridge has the same amount though he has missed the majority of the campaign through injury.

Immobile, who like Balotelli was part of Italy’s squad for last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, only moved to Dortmund from Torino in the summer and so far has eight goals for Jurgen Klopp’s surprisingly struggling side.

Liverpool travel to Southampton on Sunday afternoon, and can be backed at 19/10 to take all three points.
