Spanish daily newspaper OK Diario is reporting that Liverpool have been showing interest in Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is in the market for defensive reinforcements and he holds the 27-year-old in high regard.
According to OK Diario, Liverpool will attempt to recruit the experienced footballer in the summer transfer window, although Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane hopes to keep the player at Santiago Bernabeu.
Capable of operating anywhere across the back four, Nacho Fernandez has become quite an asset for los Blancos over the years, and he has so far resisted temptation to leave the club for greener pastures.
Nacho has only made 65 La Liga appearances since coming through the youth ranks, but everybody at the club thinks highly of his qualities.
The full-back has been linked with a Santiago Bernabeu exit several times in the past, and it remains to be seen whether he will decide to look for a new challenge in the summer.
