La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Liverpool are keeping close tabs on Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa.
The Reds watched the talented youngster in Monday’s clash with Torino, and they are seriously considering submitting an official proposal for his services.
The 19-year-old is the son of former Italy international striker Enrico Chiesa, and he has largely impressed since coming through the youth ranks at Artemio Franchi.
Capable of covering a number of positions in midfield and attack, the youngster has so far made 17 appearances in his debut Serie A campaign, scoring two goals and producing as many assists.
Having seen quite a few top sides cast admiring glances the player’s way, Fiorentina decided to act and tied down Chiesa to a deal until June 2021 back in January.
This will ensure that they at least receive a substantial transfer fee if the midfielder decides to leave at the end of the season.
