Liverpool are winning the race to sign highly rated Belgium teenager Divock Origi, according to the Express.
The Lille forward who scored the only goal of the game as his side beat Russia in the Maracana on Sunday, has been also been linked with North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, though the Reds are in pole position.
In two seasons in Ligue One, the nineteen year old has scored six goals in forty appearances while his strike at the weekend, which sealed Belgium’s place in the knockout stages of the World Cup, was his first at senior level for his country.
All five of his caps have come this summer, while he has also represented the Red Devils at all youth levels.
He could make what would be just his second international start as Marc Wilmot’s side take on South Korea today, and he is priced at 6/1 to get the first goal of the game.
