Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian has been named as a doubt for the Champions League winners’ trip to Southampton this weekend by manager Jurgen Klopp. The former West Ham United shot-stopper has a swollen ankle due to a pitch invader crashing into Liverpool players who were celebrating Adrian’s crucial penalty save from Tammy Abraham.
With first choice Alisson Becker already out of action, it is possible that 35-year-old Andy Lonergan, who joined the club on a short-term contract as an emergency measure this week, will be between the posts for the Reds at St Mary’s on Saturday.
