Liverpool hand trial to non-league striker

The Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool are set to invite Dulwich Hamlet striker Daniel Carr for a week-long trial.

Carr, 18, is plying his trade for a club currently competing in ninth tier of England’s league system, but that has not prevented some of top clubs from expressing interest in the talented forward.

Liverpool officials have been alerted of the player’s potential and they now plan to invite the striker to Anfield so that they could take a closer look at his qualities.

Carr has been scoring goals for fun this season, bagging 23 goals in as many league fixtures, and it was his impressive scoring record that brought attention to him in the first place.

Dulwich Hamlet currently occupy the third place in Ryman League South Division, with 60 points from 29 games, and they are now six points behind leaders Maldstone United, albeit with three games in hand.
