Liverpool have bid rejected for Coutinho

Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Inter have rejected an offer from Liverpool for forward Philippe Coutinho.

The same source claims the offer was in the region of €8 million, which is well below Inter’s valuation of the player.

Earlier this month, the Neroazzurri had rejected a proposal from Premier League strugglers Aston Villa.

This clearly suggests the Serie A giants are not keen on selling one of their most talented footballers, even though he is currently struggling to get a run in the side.

Coutinho started the season well, impressing in team’s Europa League campaign, but a leg injury halted his progress.

In total, the Brazilian has made 10 Serie A appearances for Inter this season, and scored 1 goal in the process.

Coutinho, 20, spent the second part of last season on loan at Espanyol, with his impressive showings in La Liga hinting he could go on to become a real Inter star in the future.
