Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly submitted an €80 million proposal for Monaco playmaker Thomas Lemar.
Just days after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed the Gunners have ended their pursuit of the France international, the Reds have made their move.
Liverpool offered €72 million up front plus another €8 million in bonuses, meaning the ball is now in Monaco’s court.
The Principality club have already sold Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy this summer, while Kylian Mbappe looks set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
This is why they are reluctant to cash in on Thomas Lemar as well, despite the fact that the attacking midfielder is keen on moving to English Premier League.
The 21-year-old has so far scored 19 goals and produced 24 assists in 94 appearances for Monaco.
