Italian newspaper Il Mattino claims that Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Napoli starlet Piotr Zielinski.
The Reds have been closely monitoring the youngster’s performances this season and they have now decided to come forward with an official offer.
According to Il Mattino, Liverpool have offered €28 million for the highly rated footballer as they hope to wrap up the deal before pre season starts.
However, chances are that Napoli will not be keen on selling their prized asset considering that he managed to nail down a regular starting berth last season.
Zielinski scored 5 goals and produced 7 assists in 35 Serie A outings last season, catching the eye of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the process.
