Anfield-based club Liverpool are prepared to make a summer swoop for Arsenal playmaker Jack Wilshere, according to reports coming from the Sun.
The England midfielder is under contract which is set to expire at the end of the season and has been involved in ongoing talks with Gunners over a new deal for months now.
One of the most talented players of his generation has suffered a problematic injury-troubled career which has reportedly led to Arsenal offering him a reduction to wages in the new offer and Liverpool are hoping to swoop in and ‘steal’ the 26-year-old.
Reds are on the lookout for a playmaker following the departure of Philippe Coutinho and Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen to match Wilshere’s £90,000-a-week salary plan to lure him to Anfield.
Klopp is said to be a huge admirer of Wilshere’s talents and is prepared to launch an attack on yet another Arsenal footballer, following the arrival of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who is enjoying his time with the Reds this season.
