Premier League giants Liverpool are seriously considering a summer bid for Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son, according to the player’s official representative.
The Reds have been following the Korean footballer for quite a while now and Bild suggested they were ready to come forward with an official proposal.
Son’s official representative has now moved to confirm that Liverpool are keen to lure his client to Anfield in the summer.
“I know that Liverpool have repeatedly watched him this season as he is the player they would like to have in their team,” agent Thies Bliemeister told Bild.
Heung-Min Son has a contract until June 2018 at Bay Arena, while his €22.5 million release clause has recently expired.
This is enough to suggest that Liverpool would have to delve deep into their pockets if they want to add the 22-year-old to their ranks.
After notching ten league goals in his first season at the club, Son has already scored 11 Bundesliga goals this term, while netting five times in ten Champions League fixtures.
