La Liga expert Guillem Balague has moved to confirm that Liverpool have been showing interest in Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.
The Colombian is growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities at Santiago Bernabeu and with Isco almost certain to stay, there is a chance he will be sold.
Liverpool are believed to be leading the chase for Rodriguez’s signature and famous journalist Guillem Balague seems to think there is truth in the speculation.
“Of course they are (interested), but they aren’t the only one,” Balague told Sky Sports. “Liverpool are realistic and I think they realise James is looking for a different type of team.
“But he is leaving the door open to all possibilities because he knows Real Madrid want to get rid of him.
“He would like to go to a club like Chelsea or Manchester United and he has offers from England and Italy but we will have to wait and see.”
James Rodriguez is clearly looking for a way out of Santiago Bernabeu as he believes his qualities are not properly appreciated in Madrid, but los Blancos will demand serious cash for his services.
The €80 million man has only scored 2 league goals this season in 7 starts and as many substitute appearances.
