According to Kicker, as relayed by Sport Witness, Liverpool are interested in signing Florian Neuhaus from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2021. It has been reported that the 23-year-old midfielder has a contract at the German club until 2024 and has a release clause of €40 million (£35.10 million).
The report in the German publication has claimed that Liverpool have expressed an interest in signing Neuhaus. The midfielder could be a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who is out of contract at the defending Premier League champions at the end of the season.
According to WhoScored, Neuhaus has made 17 starts and two substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Monchengladbach so far this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the process. The 23-year-ld has also played six games in the Champions League this season, according to WhoScored. Monchengladbach are seventh in the Bundesliga table at the moment with 32 points from 20 matches.
