According to a recent report from Sport, Liverpool are interested in making an effort to sign Espanyol defender Leandro Cabrera.
The report indicates that Espanyol are expected to lose a handful of their key stars during the summer transfer window as a result of their relegation from La Liga, with Liverpool hoping to benefit from that.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be an admirer of his work, and has made it clear that he enjoys the courage and command that he has when playing.
He’s been with Espanyol since January, but you’d have to imagine the 29-year-old would be interested in the possibility of a move to a top club.
The Reds appear destined to have a huge summer in the transfer window, but even if they don’t, they’ve got the kind of squad depth that should ensure they’re going to be quite the force in the Premier League next season.
