Liverpool are the latest Premier League side to have joined the race for Southampton full-back Luke Shaw, Daily Mail has revealed.
It is no secret Brendan Rodgers is looking to sign a new left-back to provide competition for Jose Enrique, and he is ready to challenge Manchester United and Chelsea for Shaw’s signature.
The 18-year-old has won himself quite a few admirers with some stellar performances in the Premier League and he was recently handed his England debut as well.
Despite his fragile age, Shaw has already amassed 52 Premiership appearances for the Saints and is showing incredible maturity for his age.
It remains to be seen whether Southampton will manage to keep hold of their prized asset in the summer transfer window, when his suitors are expected to step up their interest.
Luke Shaw has made a total of 27 league appearances this season, but has failed to get on the scoresheet.
