Liverpool are weighing up a January bid for Marseille forward Andre Ayew, according to Daily Mirror.
The Reds appear to be on the lookout for additional attacking reinforcements following the poor start to the season and the Ghana international seems to be one of the first names on their hit-list.
Liverpool have been keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old for a couple of years now and they finally look ready to act.
Given that Andre Ayew has entered the final year of his contract with Marseille, the forward should be available on a cut-price deal in the winter.
The Ghanaian may be an important player at Stade Velodrome, but his €4 million salary is proving to be quite a burden on club’s budget, meaning he is highly unlikely to be offered a new deal.
After winning just two of first five Premier League fixtures, Liverpool can be backed at 19/20 to see off Everton in the Merseyside derby.
