Liverpool keen on Dani Parejo

Liverpool are watching Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo, Spanish newspaper Super Deporte has revealed.

The Reds have been on the lookout for midfield reinforcements and it would appear as though they are hot on the trail of the former Real Madrid player.

Liverpool chief scout Barry Hunter was in the stands at Mestalla as Valencia defeated Granada on 23rd February, with Parejo playing full 90 minutes.

This is enough to suggest the Reds are seriously thinking about recruiting the midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Valencia are not too interested in cashing in on their prized asset, but serious financial problems mean they cannot afford to reject a lucrative offer for any of their players.

Dani Parejo has featured in 62 La Liga matches since joining the club from Getafe, and has scored 3 goals in total.

Valencia could get the final chance to revive their bid for European places when they host Athletic Club on Sunday, with los Che available at 23/20.
