Liverpool are planning a summer move for one of Newcastle United’s star men, Hatem Ben Arfa, according to the Guardian.
The Frenchman has had a tough campaign in the English Premier League so far as he has been hit with a number of injuries.
However, the playmaker is on the road to recovery and there is no doubt that his return will be a massive boost for the Magpies.
When on top of his game, the 25-year-old frightens the life out of defenders as he is able to run at them with pace and remain in control of the ball.
He is the kind of player the Brendan Rodgers wants to bring to Anfield as he plays a style of football that the Liverpool boss admires.
However, he still has two years left on his current contract, so it is going to take a big transfer fee to secure his services. That is why Rodgers could offer Newcastle the chance to buy back Andy Carroll as the two clubs look to do a swap deal.
A lot can change between now and the summer of course and Ben Arfa has admitted he would like to play for Paris Saint Germain at some point, so we shall see.
