The Mirror understands that Liverpool are ready to make a bid for Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie, in a move that could see Rickie Lambert move in the opposite direction.
The Reds were hoping to land the DR Congo international for around £10m in the summer, though the player’s recent form has seen the Eagles double their valuation.
Bolasie scored an eleven minute hat-trick in the Eagles recent 4-1 win over Sunderland, taking his tally to four so far this season in thirty appearances in all competitions.
Lambert moved to Anfield in the summer, but has scored just two goals in twenty league appearances for the club.
The Merseyside club have also been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic recently, and have Divock Origi set to join up with them in the summer suggesting that the former Southampton man could soon be surplus to requirements.
