Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo has suggested that Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio is on the radar of Premier League giants Liverpool.
The Reds have been keeping close tabs on the Argentine footballer for quite a while now and they are reportedly ready to come forward with an official bid.
The only problem is that Salvio would have problems obtaining a work permit, seeing as he has not represented the Argentina national team of late.
Benfica are reportedly prepared to cash in on their star player at the end of the season, but it is clear he will not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
Eduardo Salvio, 24, is enjoying his best ever season since arriving at Estadio da Luz, having scored 11 goals in 26 outings.
The Eagles currently sit four points clear at the Primeira Liga summit and are available at 1/2 to lift the domestic league trophy.
