Liverpool are showing interest in PSV Eindhoven youngster Jurgen Locadia, the Daily Mail has revealed.
Being desperately short of options up front, the Reds are following a number of talented forwards and the Dutch youngster is the latest player to have caught their attention.
Locadia only recently made his first Eredivisie appearance for the Dutch giants, but he enjoyed a dream debut, scoring a hat-trick after coming off the bench in the 6-0 win over VVV Venlo.
The 18-year-old has since made another substitute appearance in the league championship, but he is now under the watchful eye of Liverpool scouts.
The Premier League giants are expected to sign a high-profile forward in January, while they see Locadia as the one for the future and plan to continue monitoring his development.
Following the slow start to the season, Liverpool currently occupy 14th place in Premiership standings, with just 6 points from 7 games.
