Catalan daily newspaper Sport understands that Liverpool are weighing up summer bid for FC Porto shot-stopper Iker Casillas.
Having experienced plenty of problems at the back, the Reds are determined to recruit a high-quality goalkeeper in the summer.
And while AS Roma’s Alisson is their number one target, a reported €70 million price tag is likely to put them off.
As a result, Liverpool could instead make a move on former Real Madrid hotshot Iker Casillas, who will be a free agent in the summer.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp seems to believe the Spaniard still has a lot to offer and is expected to make his move in the coming weeks.
