The Daily Mail has learned that Liverpool are keeping close tabs on RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp knows the player well from his time in German Bundesliga and he plans to bring him to Anfield at the earliest opportunity.
Liverpool will probably offload Daniel Sturridge in the summer transfer window, making way for the arrival of Timo Werner.
The 21-year-old only joined RB Leipzig last summer from Stuttgart, but he has been on fire this season, bagging 14 goals in 23 league outings.
While he mostly operates as a centre forward, Werner is perfectly capable of playing on either wing, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes the player fits Liverpool’s style of play.
His teammates Naby Keita and Emil Forsberg are also on the Reds radar, but it would appear as though Timo Werner is at the top of club’s wish list.
