Liverpool keen on Ryan Bertrand

Liverpool are expected to make a move on Chelsea full-back Ryan Betrand in the January transfer window, according to Daily Mirror.

The Reds need cover for starting left-back Jose Enrique, who is set for a three-month spell on the sidelines.

And despite right-back Jon Flanagan impressing on the left in the Merseyside derby, Brendan Rodgers is hoping to sign a natural left-back in January.

Daily Mirror has learned that Liverpool are set to try and sign English defender Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea.

Rodgers has worked with the player during his time at Stamford Bridge and he believes the 24-year-old would be a good addition to the squad at Anfield.

The youngster clearly does not have a future at Chelsea having featured in just one Premier League game this term and he is likely to be interested in a move to Liverpool.

After recording a 3-0 triumph over West Ham at Boleyn Ground, the Blues are priced at 7/2 to go all the way in English Premier League.
