Italian media outlet La Repubblica is reporting that Champions League runners up Liverpool are in pole position to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan.
The Reds decided to make their move after two Loris Karius blunders cost them the UCL trophy and it would appear as though they stand an excellent chance of getting their man.
Despite initially holding out for €70 million, the Rossoneri are reportedly prepared to lower the asking price to below €50 million, plagued by FIFA Financial Fair Play problems.
And with Donnarumma eager to leave Stadio San Siro for greener pastures, a summer move to Anfield seems a very good option for everyone concerned.
Even though Jurgen Klopp is also keen on AS Roma’s Alisson, he is unlikely to miss the opportunity to recruit the AC Milan wonderkid.
