Liverpool are in pole position to sign Mason Mount from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that the Liverpool board have approved a deal to bring the England international midfielder to Anfield at the end of the season.
Mount has made 20 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the process. The 24-year-old has also made five starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Blues this campaign, providing one assist in the process.
Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 47 point from 30 matches, while Chelsea currently find themselves 11th in the standings with 39 points from 31 games.
