Liverpool are leading the race for Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul, according to Il Milanista. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that the Premier League giants are in the front row for the Argentina international attacker, but the Reds are facing competition from AC Milan and Leeds United.
De Paul has been on the books of Udinese since 2016 and is one of the better attacking players in Serie A. According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 34 Serie A games this season, and scored seven goals and gave six assists in 34 league matches during the 2019-20 campaign.
Udinese are open to selling De Paul, but the Italian club want €40 million as transfer fee for him. That is reportedly beyond the reach of Milan, and it is unlikely that Leeds will be willing to spend that much money on one player this summer.
