Wolverhampton Wanderers in-form midfielder Romain Saiss has emerged as one of the top transfer targets for Premier League giants Liverpool, Moroccan news outlet Liberation has reported.
The 27-year-old has started to attract the attention of Jurgen Klopp after impressing for Wolves in the Championship this season and the German tactician is said to have instructed the club to make a move for the qualify enforcer this winter.
The Reds looks set to lose German midfielder Emre Can who is unlikely to extend his deal with the Premier League heavyweights and could be on his way out of Anfield as early as January, which is why Jurgen Klopp eyes Saiss as a perfect replacement.
Saiss continues to impress at Molineux under Nuno Espirito Santo as Wolves continue their march towards Premier League promotion, whereas he also played an important role in helping his country to the 2018 World Cup qualification.
Wolves would like to keep their star player at least until the end of the season but a reported £12 million offer could prove to be too tempting for the Championship side.
