Talksport understand that Liverpool are considering a January move for Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
The Reds had been on the lookout for a new shot-stopper during the summer but decided to keep faith with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.
However, both have endured a shaky start to the season leading to speculation that reinforcements could be pursued with Casilas very much on their radar.
Paris Saint Germain and Marsielle were both interested in signing the Spaniard in the summer and could again throw their hats into the ring should he become available.
The thirty-six year old moved to Porto in the summer of 2015 after a twenty-five year association with Real Madrid, and is closing in on one hundred appearances for the club.
He won a whole host of major honours during his time in the Spanish capital including five league titles and three Champions Leagues while internationally he was part of the squads that won back to back European Championships either side of the 2010 World Cup triumph in South Africa.
