According to German outlet Bild, Liverpool are interested in signing Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
Marmoush is an extremely versatile attacking player, preferring the central role but equally efficient in hitting the opposition defences from either flank as well. In 32 appearances for his current club this term, he has 15 goals and six assists to his name. Eintracht are believed to be asking for a sum of around £50 million for the services of the 25-year-old Egypt international.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle are believed to have held interest of their own in Marmoush, but as things stand at the moment, it’s the Merseysiders, who have already won the Carabao Cup and remain in contention for the Premier League, the Europa League and the FA Cup this season, who lead the race for his services.
“We have good plans for Marmoush,” agent Michael Reschke is quoted in saying.
“He has been delivering outstanding performances recently and a bright future awaits him.
