Liverpool linked with Rayan Cherki

Liverpool are interested in signing Rayan Cherki from Lyon in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has revealed that Ligue 1 club Lyon are ready to sell Cherki at the end of the season.

However, Liverpool will face stiff competition in their quest to sign Cherki this summer. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have already expressed an interest in the French winger, who has clubs in Italy following him too.

Cherki came through Lyon’s youth system to establish himself in the first team. The winger has scored eight goals and given 18 assists in 34 matches in all competitions so far this season. The 21-year-old highly-rated French player has scored 25 goals and given 42 assists in 175 appearances for Lyon so far in his career. While Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, Lyon are two points off the final UEFA Champions League spot in the Ligue 1 table.
