Liverpool are interested in signing Sao Paulo centre-back Lucas Beraldo, according to 90min. The report has claimed that former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool have scouted Beraldo in recent months and have been hugely impressed by him.
Beraldo is one of the best young centre-backs in Brazilian football and has already established himself as an important player in the Sao Paulo starting lineup. The 19-year-old Brazil Under-20 central defender was a key player in Sao Paulo’s recent Copa do Brasil triumph.
Liverpool are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from seven matches. Jurgen Klopp’s side are two points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City. Liverpool will take on Union Saint-Gilloise at Anfield in UEFA Europa League Group E on Thursday evening before facing Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
