Liverpool are interested in signing Nayef Aguerd from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window, according to Goal. The report has claimed that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have been keeping tabs on the 26-year-old central defender and has been impressed with his performances for the Hammers so far this season.
The Morocco international has been on the books of West Ham since the summer of 2022 when he joined from French club Rennes. The defender suffered an early injury which affected his impact at the Hammers initially, but he is now fully fit and is doing well.
So far this season, Aguerd has made seven starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for West Ham so far this season. The 26-year-old has also played once in the Carabao Cup and twice in the UEFA Europa Conference League for the Hammers.
