Winger Harvey Elliot, 17, seemed set for another campaign on the fringes at Liverpool, but the Merseysiders’ early Carabao Cup exit, coupled with Xherdan Shaqiri staying put, were reportedly the reasons why the club sanctioned a loan move to Blackburn Rovers.
And it seems the move is paying off for both clubs, as well as the player. He was on the scoresheet in the 0-4 triumph away to Coventry City on Saturday, becoming the youngest player to score for Blackburn since 1961.
