Liverpool look at Luka Modric

According to growing reports in Spain, Liverpool are after Real Madrid midfield star Luka Modric.

Diario Gol are reporting that the Croatian midfielder is keen on a Premier League return and could leave the Santiago Bernabeu club in the summer.

The same source claims Jurgen Klopp is interested in the 32-year-old playmaker as part of a midfield reshuffle. It’s being added, however, that Arsenal are also in the running for former Tottenham star whose potential move to the Emirates would stir the obvious controversy.

Luka Modric might be heading towards the autumn years of his career but is still widely regarded as one of the best creative midfielders in the world and there’s no doubt he would be a massive addition for any Premier League club.

Liverpool are lacking the creative string ever since Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona and Luka Modric would be a direct replacement for the Brazilian and a much-needed backing for Reds’ lethal front three – Male, Salah, Firmino.
