Liverpool looking at Sporting Braga defender David Carmo

Liverpool are interested in signing Sporting Braga defender David Carmo in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that the defending Premier League champions are on the hunt for a new centre-back. 

Dayot Upamecano of RB Leipzig is the Reds’ main transfer target, but Liverpool are looking for alternatives. Carmo, who is only 21 years of age, and is a very talented and promising young centre-back who has made his way onto Liverpool’s potential wishlist. According to WhoScored, Carmo has made seven appearances in the Portuguese league and has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Braga so far this season.

Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 31 points from 14 matches, four points clear of second-placed Leicester City.
