Liverpool looking to secure Firmino services

Liverpool are readying a new contract for forward Roberto Firmino, according to the Metro.

The Brazil international is in fine form this season, spearheading the Reds’ devastating attack and grabbing thirteen of their sixty-seven league goals so far.

The Merseyside club have began negotiations with the twenty-six year old and are keen to reward him as he continues to improve.

He already has double the amount of goals he achieved in his first campaign in England with his tally currently at forty-five in one hundred and twenty-eight games in all competitions since signing from Hoffenheim.

Internationally, he has five goals in sixteen appearances for his country with his current form likely to see him selected for their squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.

Liverpool moved into second place with victory over Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon and can be backed at a price of 13/10 to finish the season there.
