Liverpool have joined the race to sign midfielder Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid, according to Marca.
The Turkish midfielder is set to leave Santiago Bernabeu in search of first team football and he has already been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Marca claims that Liverpool are also showing interest in the 23-year-old, who was never given a real chance to impress at Real Madrid.
The Reds are a bit short on creative midfielders after Alberto Aquilani was allowed to join Fiorentina and they are pondering a bid for the Turkish international.
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho admitted last week that Sahin would be allowed to leave this summer, although los Blancos are only interested in sending the player on loan.
They could, however, decide to sell the player in case the right offer comes along, but, any potential transfer would have to contain a buy-back clause.
