According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Liverpool and Manchester United are both believed to be interested in signing Maxi Gomez from Valencia. The 23 year old was previously on the radar of West Ham United but after that didn’t come to fruition, different clubs around the Premier League began to keep an eye on him.
They are both said to be monitoring his progress carefully ahead of what could be a hectic bargaining period over the January transfer window. While the club will be hoping to keep hold of Gomez for as long as they possibly can, they’ll be well aware of the fact that the finances involved in any potential offer could force their hand.
Liverpool will likely just be looking towards Gomez as someone that can provide them with a bit of back-up, considering they already have a pretty lethal attacking line-up.
United, on the other hand, have their backs against the wall and are in desperate need of a few new attacking faces.
