Roberto Firmino started on the bench in Liverpool’s 0-5 win away to Atalanta on Tuesday, giving up his spot in the starting XI to newcomer Diogo Jota. The ex-Wolves forward delivered a great performance, scoring a hat-trick, and with the Premier League champions heading to Manchester to face City on Sunday, many have called for this selection again.
But it seems manager Jurgen Klopp is far from impressed with the criticism Firmino has been facing lately.
🗣"For a lot of people in the world if you ask them what makes Liverpool special they would say the way Bobby Firmino is playing"
