Liverpool and Manchester United in for Alves

Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Barcelona’s Dani Alves, according to the Metro.

The Brazil international is out of contract in the summer, and the Catalan club are willing to let him move to pastures new.

In just over six years with the club, Alves has made one shy of three hundred appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty goals and winning no less sixteen trophies including four La Liga titles and two European Cups.

Paris Saint Germain and Inter Milan are set to join the Premier League rivals in the race to secure the defender’s services, with all interested parties free to discuss terms with the player in January should a new deal with Barca not be agreed.

Barcelona are the only side to have won their opening two league games in the Spanish top flight this season, and are favourites to win the title at 10/11.
