According to the Metro, Liverpool have not given up hope on signing Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.
It seemed as though the deal was a non mover, however Brendan Rodgers is set to do all he can to try and lure the Englishman to Anfield.
With just a year left on his current deal, Walcott will be thinking about his future and if he does not get offered a new contract at the Gunners, may feel as though it is time to move on.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be the main men out wide for Arsenal this season, leaving Walcott with not as much time in the starting eleven.
Rodgers seems to be an admirer of the ex-Southampton man and is keen to add some raw pace to his squad as he targets a top four finish in the English premier League this campaign.
With three attacking players – Lukas Podolski, Oliver Giroud and Santi Cazorla all joining the Emirates this summer, Arsene Wenger could be prepared to lose his midfielder, especially as he could get money for him this summer.
Whatever happens, both sides will want the deal resolved soon as there is not much longer left in the transfer window.
