According to a recent report from ESPN, Liverpool aren’t interested in recalling Loris Karius from his loan spell with Besiktas. The 25 year old German has been in Turkey since last year, and is scheduled to be there for another season on top of this one. Karius is best known for his performance in the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final, in which he made a few bad mistakes that wound up costing Liverpool the title against Real Madrid. He has been working to rebuild his reputation ever since, although some fans believe that he’ll never be who he once was in the net.
Karius began his professional career with Mainz, but also spent time with Manchester City during his youth. Some fans are reluctant to count him out altogether, but it all depends on how he is able to learn from his setbacks and bounce back from them.
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up in a few months.
