Liverpool open talks for Nolito
Portuguese daily Record has suggested that Liverpool are seriously thinking about recruiting Benfica forward Nolito.
The 26-year-old was loaned to Granada in January and while he is due to report back at Estadio da Luz, it looks as though he won’t be staying at the club for much longer.
Benfica are looking to cash in on the talented footballer and are hoping to get around €5 million for his services.
According to Record, Liverpool are set to jump at the opportunity to sign their long-term target, with the Reds already establishing initial contacts with the Eagles.
Nolito, who came through the youth ranks at Barcelona, joined Benfica on a free transfer in the summer of 2011.
Despite impressing in his first season at Estadio da Luz, scoring 11 goals in 29 league matches, he was allowed to join Granada in the winter transfer window, and went on to register 3 goals in 17 La Liga matches for the club.
Premiership side bid for Cardozo
An unnamed Premier League club have submitted a big money offer for Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo, reports O Jogo.
The Eagles have decided to cash in on the star forward in the summer transfer window and they are holding out for no less than €17 million.
Fenerbahce and Napoli are believed to be keen on the Paraguayan, but O Jogo understands that Premier League clubs are also showing interest.
The same source has revealed that a club from English Premiership have submitted an offer that is very close to club’s valuation of the player.
Seeing as how this is by far the highest proposal received by the Eagles for Cardozo, there is every chance the bid will be accepted.
Oscar Cardozo, 30, has become one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the club, bagging 106 goals in 160 league matches.
Bordeaux full-back nears Leverkusen move
Bordeaux defender Benoit Tremoulinas could be joining Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window, according to Le Parisien.
The 27-year-old is looking for a new challenge after spending his entire professional career with les Girondins, and club chiefs are unlikely to stand in his way.
And while Monaco are keen to lure him to Stade Louis II, Le Parisien understands that the defender is set for a Bundesliga switch.
Bayer Leverkusen are believed to be readying a move for Tremoulinas, with the player hoping to play Champions League football next season.
Tremoulinas has developed into one of the best left-backs in French Ligue 1 over the years, having made 164 league appearances for Bordeaux and scored 5 goals.
He made his international debut in a friendly game against Italy in November 2012, before paying full 90 minutes in June friendly with Uruguay.
